It's simple, really. But also perfect.
The simple part is, it's just an anagram of my name: Leland Jory
The perfect part is, it describes me pretty well.
About Me
Besides currently being an enormous nerd, I was a drama geek in high school, even having the privilege to perform as Tom in my school's production of The Glass Menagerie. I didn't pursue an acting career at the time, however, spending the next couple of decades working a variety of jobs, including waiter, short-order cook, truck driver, and IT professional. Recently, the siren call of acting filtered through the noise of everyday life. I completed the Voice Acting Levels I and II course at the Actor's Training Centre of Manitoba, which included spending time in-studio at DACAPO Studios.
About My Skills
I am a professionally trained voice actor, having completed the Voice Acting Levels I and II at the Manitoba Actor's Training Centre under the tutelage of Jeff Skinner.
I can perform a variety of voice types, including young-adult, middle-aged, and senior.
I have also trained in a variety of accents, as well as techniques to pick up new ones, under the tutelage of Eliza Jane Schneider. Some of the accents I have learned include British RP, British Regional, Australian, German, and Russian. I am constantly working to expand my skills.
