I just want to take a moment to share something that I find inspiring and motivational.
I'm not sure if you've heard of Ze Frank (internet pioneer and YouTuber), but he has one particular video that rocks me to the core every time I watch it (which, honestly, should be more often; like, literally every day, as soon as I wake up). It's called "An Invocation for Beginnings", and it's about:
- not letting yourself be defined or held back by things you've already done or mistakes you've already made…
- picking this moment as the starting line and just going…
- self-care, and self-compassion…
- not letting a perfectionist attitude stop you from trying something anyway…
- focussing on not just the finish line, but on the journey along the way…
It also contains my favourite quote in the universe:
““There’s no need to sharpen my pencils any more. My pencils are sharp enough. Even the dull ones will make a mark.””
